Стальные корпуса, непередаваемо шероховатые на ощупь. Тяжёлые. При желании сойдут за взрыватели от ядрёной бомбы Lol

I have never seen such startrs in real life, and soviet starters are among my absolute favorite things that were ever produced in USSR and there is such a variaty of them, it would probably be impossible to get every single one ever produced. But please, I beg you, could you post a picture of such a starter open? I really want to see the inner bulb and see what color it glows.. When I get starters for my collection I always open them up, take many photos of the color glow, the contacts, etc., and then close it up and never open it again, but then I know I have detailed pictures of the innerds when I need to look at it again for comparison or other similar reason. So would it be possible for you to open one of these starters and post the pictures of the inner bulb, capacitor and the color of the glow? Cray Im only 22 years old, I only recently started to collect starters actively, and there are not many left these days, its a good chance I will never get one like this and it will always be a mistery for me on how such a starter looks inside Sorry 2

Hello my friend,
Actually I have a bit different approach to collecting starters: at the very beginning, when I only started collecting them, very often I made kind of 'centaurs' (when a body of one starter was fitted to the base of the very different one). I still have some of them in my collection, so the only way to tell them apart is to examine traces left after opening the body. I am trying to get rid of those as they are of no value for collecting. If I start to open 'normal' starters I will be in a risk to make a real mess everywhere Shok.

So usually I am opening only defective and EOL starters, but normally those have completely black bulbs. Speaking of these early starters in iron cases, most of them basically look the same from inside, like this one: the big bulb with stem, symmetrical V- or W-shaped contacts, paper capacitor, neon or neon-helium filling (red, orange or pink glow).
