ЛГ 40 [1966] (ПЗГРЛ)
This lamp appeared in my collection quite unexpectedly, during the analysis of old garage stocks of the now deceased grandfather of one of my friends. Among the unnecessary trash on the shelf in the dust, there were several Soviet fluorescent tubes, including this one. At first examination it did not stand out as anything interesting: regular T12, the marking was not visible. After washing and drying at the end of the lamp at a certain angle of incidence of light, I could hardly see the LG 40 10.70 marking and the PZGRL plant icon. There was no limit to my surprise and delight because it costs a lot to find a rare Soviet colored fluorescent tube. Having fired it up in a suitable fixture, I noticed that the lamp is new and has not been used, it shines softly and pleasantly. The glow color is really blue (and not bluish, like in modern fluorescent tubes), the light output is visually lower than that of the adjacent LD and LB 40 lamps. Room lighting with a combination of LG40 and LB40 turns out to be simply fantastic.
