Polish industrial luminaire (production from the late Socialist era or the beginning of the rampant democracy of the 90s).

This "apparatus" has a glass shade made of thick glass, repeating the contours of the body, but here I could not show it (it has not survived). In the description of the exhibit, I present a photo of the same fixture (working properly) installed in a neighboring workshop. The luminaire body is made of an alloy that resembles cast iron! Hence the mass of this thingie without a glass and a lamp is 3960 grams. The design is epic: on the lower cast iron plate with a thickness of 7 to 10 mm (dimensions 325 * 180 mm) rests a lampholder and a shade, which is pressed by a frame (also made of cast iron). A grid is installed on the clamping frame, which protects the lamp from mechanical impacts. A stamped part is installed on the grid, which is designed to keep the frame and shade in a suspended state during lamp replacement. The frame "presses" glass to the body due to four screws located at the corners. The lampholder (rather fragile) is held on to the base by two "microscrews" which fix it directly through the porcelain to the cast iron. The lampholder is also very interesting, it consists of two halves: on the lower one there are contacts for the lamp and screws for fastening the wires, and on the upper one there is a thread in porcelain for the lamp base, and the two halves are held together by two long thin screws.
