Your photos would look much better if you place the object on a uniform background and then crop the picture to cut off all the unnecessary part, like this:

Also, it would be good to use only one lamp type per post and always include one closeup picture of the lamp marking (factory stamp).

Unfortunately no: the image upload mechanism does not allow any editing. The photo is positioned according to its embedded EXIF data (that's why sometimes vertical photos are uploaded as horisontal and vice versa).
